Hello! I'm Ashley

I’ve always had a passion for understanding why dogs do the things they do. This passion drove me to pursue my diploma in canine behavior and continues to inspire me to continue learning so I can help dogs and their humans enjoy their lives together to the fullest!

My goal is to provide a safe space for dog guardians and provide them with the same easy-to-follow tools I use to manage and train my dogs. I will never shame, blame, or guilt a dog guardian for their dog’s behavior. I know how stressful it can be living with a dog with behavior problems, and it doesn’t have to stay that way!

With me you won’t just get a canine behavior practitioner and trainer, but a coach who will help accommodate and fit dog training into your life, not the other way around.

I share my life with a goofy mutt, Rue and an energetic, fun-loving Border Collie, Renly.

My Methodology

So what kind of training can you expect from me?

I only use methods backed by scientific research on canine behavior and training.
This is a fear-free, force-free approach.
I do not use punishment to stop an unwanted behavior, but instead help you teach alternate behaviors that lead to long-lasting desired habits and a strengthened bond between you and your dog.

I will never ask you to do something that makes you or your dog uncomfortable. We can make powerful behavior changes without the use of pain or fear.
Your dog is learning every waking moment, and it should be enjoyable for both you and your dog!

I often start with clicker training to teach new behaviors. I also use desensitization and counterconditioning to help fearful or aggressive dogs. I love to include gamified training to engage with your puppy or dog to teach important skills and build their confidence!

This is designed for you and your dog's success and done in bite-size sessions that can work into any busy schedule!

Dog training should not feel like a chore or a second job!

I urge my clients to keep training sessions short (5-10 minutes) a couple times a day.
